The Montmorency County Veterans Affairs Office strives to provide professional assistance to veterans and their families with understanding and accessing available benefits through Federal, State of Michigan and local government agencies.
Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency (MVAA)
The Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency (MVAA) is a state government agency which is a part of the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs that functions as the central coordinating point for Michigan veterans, connecting those who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces, and their families, to services and benefits throughout the state.
VET Friends
The mission of Vet Friends is to connect, honor and support You, our U.S. Veteran and military brothers and sisters.
We are honored to serve you, special bonds are formed between military personnel who have and are serving side by side in the Armed Forces. These friendships withstand the test of time.
US Department of Veterans Affairs
If you're serving on active duty in the United States uniformed services, including active National Guard and Reserve
with federal pay, you may be eligible for VA benefits both during service and after separation or retirement. If you're a traditional or technical member of the National Guard and Reserve, you may also be eligible for some VA benefits. Find out which benefits you may qualify for—and when to apply. You'll also learn about these benefits in your required Transition Assistance Program (TAP) briefing.
US Department of Veterans Affairs – Spouses and Survivors
As the spouse or dependent child of a Veteran or service member, you may qualify for certain benefits, like health care, life insurance, or money to help pay for school or training. As the survivor of a Veteran or service member, you may qualify for added benefits, including help with burial costs and survivor compensation.  If you’re caring for a Veteran, you may also be eligible for support to help you better care for the Veteran—and for yourself. Find out which benefits you may qualify for and how to access them.
